Systems of the body

We now survey the major systems of the body. The purpose at this stage in the unit is merely to start you off on this journey. It introduces you to ‘what is where’ and provides a basis for study in this unit. Musculoskeletal system: Muscles and bones take a lion’s share of the total weight of the body. The bone is complete largely of bones. Bones form hard; strong supports for the body, in many places protect delicate structures, have joints with various degrees of movement, and also act as a store of calcium in the body. Muscles move the bones at joints, bringing about movement of the whole body or its parts. For this reason muscles and bones are usually grouped together in one system. A look at the image reveals more and piece of the border runs during the centre of the stiff, along and around the long axis of the body. This is the axial skeleton, comprising the skull, vertebral column and the ribs. The limbs are develop as extensions of the trunk and are seen as appendages (attachments) of the trunk. The bones of limbs form the appendicular skeleton. Bones display a variety of form, and can be thought of as long bones, short bones, flat bones and irregular bones.

Vaccination

Vaccines are very important one they help the people to stay protected from the diseases. Eh vaccines are of different kinds for different diseases. When the baby is born they give all the vaccines within the twelve months so that the baby grows with a good immune system so that they could resist against some diseases in them. The vaccines should be given within that time limit and the vaccine should be fresh they should check on the expiry date on them since when the baby are given expired vaccine the baby could have chance of dying. So the parents should take care of eh baby and their vaccines are properly given by the doctors. The parents should have the chart plan so that they follow what are the vaccines that are given to their bay and what time they should vaccine their baby. This is very important since there should be proper interval time between two vaccines then only the vaccine could be very effective to the baby. Even when they grow adults there some vaccines available for the newly discovered diseases so the people should get properly vaccinated, today there are different types of diseases so the people should be aware of them and try to know whether there is any vaccine for them.

Good food

When the people take the well balanced food they could be very healthy, but when they don’t get proper food they could not be healthy. The people who are below the poverty line could not get proper food they get just one meal daily that food also they have to share with someone. This very awful they could not get any nutrients from that food just they fill their stomach. When the people keep on eating like this food they could feel much tried and they don’t have any strength in their body. The immune system in them could be very weak, if they get any flu or infections it could be worse on them. The good food contains all the nutrients that are very essential to the people to keep them healthy. All the people should at least once a good food daily so they could be healthy. In a good it should contain all vegetables and greens so that they get the energy from them. Though don’t take all vegetables they could get one at time to maintain their health. The people should know the importance of the good food so that they could be maintaining their health the governments and the private help centers should try to provide food for the people who don’t get them and maintain their health.

Infections

Infections are spread through the water, air and people. The water spread infections are like cholera, diarrhea and viral diseases. These diseases are spread through the micro organisms that are present in the water. The next one is the diseases that is spread through air, when a person coughs or sneezes without closing their mouth or nose the infection from one person spread to other person. The common cold spread through the people in this way only. So the person who suffers from the cold and should cover them properly so that other person don’t get infected by them, there are people who have he infection they have to be very careful. Most of the people get diseases through infection only in the undeveloped countries people are not clean and they don’t keep their surroundings and they don’t have use proper cleaned toilets, this the reason why they get soon the diseases and there is no medical facilities in their countries. So all the people should be taught to keep themselves and their living place clean so that they could free from the diseases,  The developed countries should come forward to help undeveloped countries and developing countries o be healthy. Thus the control of infection should be controlled by the government.

Regular check up

When the people come to certain age they have to keep their health I well mannered way so that they could live for long years healthy. First step they have to check-up their body regularly for sex months once, so that they could be very healthy.  When the people grow old there is a chance of getting the blood pressure and blood sugar so they have to check them regularly, if these increase in their body they could experience some kind of severe health problems like the heart attacks, fix in their body. So the people as grow old they have to take care of their body more carefully. Since as people grow old the immune system also grows very low and they have to keep away from the infections that spread through air and water. Even a common flu could make them very sick. So they should have strict diet and do some exercise to keep them very healthy.  The regular check up should be done in the same nursing home, if they change the hospital often the doctors could not have a regular track in their health, and the dosage could differ form doctor to doctor that is not good for the people.

Children health

The parents should take care of the health of their children in very careful way. When the baby is born they have to pay more attention to it, since the baby can’t speak and say how the baby is feeling. So the parents should feed them correctly and give the children proper vaccination so that it prevents the baby from the flu and cold.  The parents should follow the chart for the vaccination from the seventh day of the baby the vaccination continues, they should skip any vaccination since they are very important to keep the baby healthy from the childhood. As the baby grows the food given to the baby also change so that they could give correct supplement to their body as it grows. The children should be fed on correct time they should not skip any meal of their routine. It is found common that the children when going to school they try to avoid the morning breakfast that is very danger to the health since they could had their supper at night and all the night the stomach could be empty and the gap between their meals could differ. So the parents should take care of their children health.

Oil Skin

Oily skin is caused by over-active sebaceous glands that produce a substance called sebum, a naturally healthy skin lubricant. The sweat glands are found together with oil glands in the skin. Sweat moisturizes the skin. However, without any mixture, perspiration evaporates rapidly, resulting in a more severe drying of the skin. To prevent this, other substances are needed. Because the oil causes the water can be retained in the skin. In this way, sweat and oil glands work together moisturize the skin. Therefore both these glands must exist simultaneously to keep skin smooth and elastic. The function of the oil glands, which secretes lubricants and other fats, it is important to the health of our skin. The oily-skin type is not necessarily bad, since such skin is less prone to wrinkling, or other signs of aging, because the oil helps to keep needed moisture locked into the epidermis. The negative aspect of the oily-skin type is that oily complexions are especially susceptible to clogged pores, blackheads, and buildup of dead skin cells on the surface of the skin. Oily skin can be sallow and rough in texture and tends to have large, clearly visible pores everywhere, except around the eyes and neck. When the skin produces excessive sebum, it becomes heavy and thick in texture. Oily skin is typified by shininess, blemishes and pimples.

Drug distribution barriers

Once a drug was excess to the blood stream, the drug is subjected to a number of processes called as Disposition Processes that tend to lower the plasma concentration. It comprises of biotransformation and excretion. For any therapeutic agent to be effective, it must accumulate in target cells in optimal concentrations for a required duration of time. Unfortunately, physicochemical and physiological barriers can lead to heterogeneous accumulation of various therapeutic molecules, particles, and cells in solid tumours. In a disease such as cancer, failure to treat a small fraction of cells can result in tumour regrowth. Thus, it is crucial to know which cells have been successfully treated and which have not. To determine this, high-resolution imaging of drug distribution and its physiological determinants are essential. Only with this knowledge can we improve drug delivery to all regions of a tumour. Highly plasma protein bound drugs are largely restricted to the vascular compartment because protein bound drug does not cross membranes .they tend to have smaller volumes of distribution. The bound fraction is not available for action. It is equilibrium with the free drug in plasma and dissociates when the concentration of the latter is reduced due to the elimination thus, it is called as the storage of the drug.

Medicines

We can live a healthy life by proper food and exercise. This keeps our body fit and fights against virus, bacteria and other germs to prevent diseases. Medicines are important for the infection free, healthy human life. We try our best to take hygienic food and keep our environment clear. But all times it was not possible to do so. Our health was affected mainly by the food and pollution. We cannot be sure that the food we take outside our home was hygienic. Infected food or drinks will cause food poison and other diseases. Medicines were the only hope to keep us alive beyond all these problems. Now all type of medicines was available according to the seriousness of disease. Apart from food, medicines also require for us. In ancient times, Medicines were prepared from herbs and other food products. But nowadays we use chemicals to prepare the medicines. These medicines cure the disease quickly compared to the natural herbs. But continuous taking of these medicines will cause side-effects. So it was advisable to take medicines prescribed by doctor and limited dosage. This ensures our healing and good health. Some diseases can be avoided by proper food habits now and then.

Body Building

The high level of muscle growth was only achieved by specialized diet. Body builders require more calories than the average person of the same weight to provide the protein and energy requirements needed to support their training. The intake of food energy from carbohydrates, proteins, and fats vary depending on the goals of the bodybuilder. The main form of energy you intake for your body is carbohydrates. Your body has the easiest time in digesting carbohydrates like starch and sugar. Carbohydrates are broken down into individual fructose, glucose, units and so they are easy to digest. Fats are essential for body to perform many corporal functions. And they are also good for liver and lungs and help calcium absorption. Proteins are the building block that your body uses to create new muscles tissues and repair any injured tissues. If you want to bulk up with muscles, then this is your food. Water helps in washing out the dangerous toxins that your body takes in, from the air you breathe, the food you eat and the chemicals used in the various products you use on your skin and hair. Muscles got shape in the gym by lifting weights, but muscle growth occurs afterward during rest. Without proper rest and sleep, muscles do not have an opportunity to recover and build. About eight hours of sleep a night is desirable for the bodybuilder to be refreshed, but this varies from person to person.
